The Adidas Cup

So, more soccer happened.
This time it was the Adidas Cup.
We stayed with my niece Raili, her husband Kam and their little boy Grant.
We thanked them profusely.

In between games we did a few fun things with Enoch and Samuel.
Fun Thing #1: Went to Scheels.  An immense sporting goods store.
Spent lots of time in the soccer department.

Also rode their very large ferris wheel in the store.  It's cheap...just $1, and very fun!
Played mini bowling at the same store.  Not as cheap, but still entertaining!

Fun thing #2: Went to the Zoo.
One is never too old to ride an authentic merry-go-round.
Samuel picked a preying mantis.
Enoch picked a bear cub.
I rode a donkey.  No picture was available.

The zoo had a lego display which was very cool.
We loved the polar bear out of legos the best.
He is built out of 95,000 lego bricks and took 1,100 hours to build.

Fun thing #3 Spent a little time with Raili and Grant.
Grant loved attention from two boys.
The splash pad was really fun. But cold.

Stopped by to see this little house close to Raili's neighborhood.
You may recognize it.
We thought it was cute...even down to the mailbox in front.

The tournament was a good one.
The team made it to the semi-finals, then lost.  They were undefeated until then.
I did catch one of Enoch's goals on my camera.  Sort of.

Enoch is #7 in blue
He does a bit of dribbling, passes it off.  The ball finally gets cleared away. someone off camera does a beautiful pass right to him and he shoots it in.
Unfortunately, I didn't get the part where the ball goes in the net, but watch Enoch's reaction and you know it was a goal.
