The Junior Prom!

This Saturday was the junior prom at the high school. Kiera was excited to go.
We had a lot of fun dress shopping.
We took pictures of Kiera in all the dresses she tried on and sent them to Shenna for her opinion.
It was funny how she picked the exact one that we ended up purchasing!
Shenna was lucky that her spring break started this weekend.
She was able to come home and help Kiera get ready.
It was fun for me to watch those two having so much fun together!

My little great-niece Jaylee came over to watch.  Kiera even painted Jaylee's fingernails just like she had hers done for prom....pink with silver sparkles!

We always need pictures of brothers with their sisters.
At first, I thought it would just be Enoch this time, but
Samuel got home from snowboarding just in time to see his sister off on her date.
He did inform her that he had been tempted to embarrass her in front of her date,
but resisted the urge.
Sounds like the typical dynamic between these two .

Shenna stuck around after the promenade in order to get a couple of shots of the group Kiera went with.  They went and ate Brazilian and then headed to the dance.
It was a fun night!

Let's hear it for the band!

On March 4, Enoch had his first band concert as a 6th grade clarinet player.
He is really enjoying playing in the band and chose the clarinet because he wants to switch over next year and play the alto saxophone.

And as with all the beginning band concerts, they invite the more advanced bands to come and play a few numbers as well.
So, we had the chance to listen to all three play in their different bands.

Before the concert, I just had to take a picture of the boys with their suspenders.

When Shenna graduated, she gave Samuel her jazz band tie.  Though he isn't in jazz band yet, he decided to wear it to the concert.
Here's to the brass and the woodwinds!
Enoch and his beginning 6th grade band did an awesome job on their first concert.
