38 Degrees in the pouring Rain! = FUN!

Neither snow, nor rain, nor heat, nor gloom of night, nor the winds...will stay us from cheering for our favorite team!

Yes, our family went to see LA Galaxy play Real Salt Lake Saturday night. The game was sold out and the stadium was filled to the brim with 20500+ screaming fans. Five of those fans were sitting by me, dressed more for a day on the slopes than a soccer game.

The weather was on the chilly side: 38 degrees Fahrenheit to be exact, with the wind and rain coming in at a nice angle to hit our faces. Don't worry. By the half, all of us were wearing ponchos. Enoch was the last to put his on because it covered up his jersey and his fauxhawk.

Real really pulled everything off for us. They scored their first goal within the first three minutes of the game and never stopped until they had a total of four. Enoch cheered for his favorite players: Espindola, Morales, and Grabavoy. I cheered for the best goalkeeper in the MLS. One Nick Rimando. He was absolutely flawless.

And yes, it was a dream come true for Enoch and me. We got to see David Beckham play for 85 minutes! He didn't make a goal, but did assist Angel who made the only goal LA Galaxy got the entire game.

Yep, final score: Real Salt Lake 4: LA Galaxy 1

A great start to a great soccer season!

Is it Spring yet?!!?

Some of us are just trying to hang onto a little more winter. Maybe spring can come on the 20th, but we'll still be enjoying some of winter's fun on the 19th.

Kiera and Shenna before heading on the slopes for some fun. Kiera thought she'd plop her helmet on her hat to be silly.

Samuel and Enoch on their way to the lifts.

Still having fun after hours on the runs.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Those darn leprechauns invaded again today! They played some tricks and left some treats.
Of course they also left new green shirts to make sure that no one got pinched!

Here's the family after finding the treats that the "little Irish people" left.

For some reason the kids thought I needed my picture taken in my "Born Lucky" shirt.
I still disagree. I looked better behind the camera.
Below are some pictures of one of the tricks that got played on Enoch.
His soccer ball was hung from the light fixture.
If you look close, you can see that the leprechaun left his image right on the ball!

Silly old Leprechauns! Come again next year!

The Soccer Jersey Collection

Enoch is a soccer fan. No doubt.
Recently, I've realized that he is pretty much ignoring all the clothes in his closet.
Except four shirts.
His soccer jerseys.
Just for fun, I decided to take his picture every day in whatever he decided to where to school.
Here it is....a school week with Enoch:

Monday: LA Galaxy Jersey with Beckham's number 23.

Tuesday: Real Salt Lake Jersey with Espindola's number 7.

Wednesday: England National away jersey with Beckham's number 7.

Thursday: Argentina national away jersey with Angel DiMaria's number 7.

Friday: A repeat of Thursday since mom didn't have his LA Galaxy jersey washed (he told me that was the one he wanted to wear).
This was also the first day that he wore his glasses to school. They are constantly lost.

What a kid!

Can you say Cheese?

Can you say cheese? It's more like "hurry up, mom! We are freezing!!"
Samuel and Enoch on a sunny winter's day.
