Enoch has been looking forward to being in cub scouts basically forever! Finally he turned eight and is now officially in the wolf den. His first order of business was earning the bobcat badge.

He was able to pass off all the requirements in a week! That way he could get it at this month's pack meeting!

I was excited to get a new pin on my ribbon!

Our cubmaster, Jeannie, let me stamp Enoch's cheek with the bobcat paw.

Another Birthday??

May is always fun since we have two birthdays! Enoch is now eight years old!

He was so excited when he went to bed Monday night anticipating his birthday in the morning. The first thing he said when he came down the stairs was directed to his sister. He didn't even say "good morning" instead, he said, "What do you say to me Kiera?"
He knows he's supposed to be treated well on his special day!

Of course his cake would have something to do with soccer. I just made it into a soccer pitch, then cut out images of his favorite players and put them on top. Simple and easy and fast.

On top of the cake are David Beckham, Wayne Rooney, Fabian Espindola, Lionel Messi, Landon Donovan and Cristiano Ronaldo.

He was excited to open all his presents. Included was a new cub scout shirt and other cub scout paraphenalia. He is excited to go to his first den meeting on Thursday.

Aaron talked him in to doing "the smolder" for a picture. If you have seen the movie "Tangled" you know what I'm talking about. I think he can do that particular look pretty good!

WHAT A CUTE BIRTHDAY BOY!

Teenager X 2!

It is official! Our house now has TWO teenage girls!

Kiera turned 13 on May 4. Her friends decorated her locker at school and gave her cards. At home she found that I had made her a cat cake. Lately her favorite books to read have been the Warriors series, so I thought a cat was fitting. We had to rush through dinner and presents in order to get to the theatre for dress rehearsal. Yes, that is correct. Dress rehearsal on Kiera's birthday. She didn't seem to mind though, and the whole cast sang happy birthday.

I still think the highlight for her was finally getting a facebook account. I am the meanest mom around since I haven't let her lie about her age in order to have one. All in all, I think the day was a success.
