Shenna's Junior Prom

Shenna's high school prom was on March 23.
She and her date went with two other couples for a "day" date in the morning and early afternoon, then she had about two hours to get ready for the prom.
Her aunt Lynae and cousin Lyssa came to help and watch her get ready.

It took three people to do her hair.  Thanks Lyssa and Lynae!

She actually had practiced pinning a boutonniere on her dad's suit, so she did a great job with Preston's.

A close-up of the hair and the pretty little diamonds in it.

They make the wrist corsages so easy now.  It went right on.

I zoomed in as far as my camera would go to get this picture at the promenade.  Ignore the slight blurry aspect and it's a cute shot of the two of them.

This was the group they went with.  From left to right:
Kyle Cazier, Erin Christensen, Colton Jensen, Lillie Swallow, Preston Schultz and Shenna Whitaker
Lillie had just been crowned prom queen, hence the crown.

After the promenade, they went to dinner and the dance.  Shenna had a great time!

Pie Day! oh and that other holiday involving a leprechaun

LOOK at the yummy pies we had for pie day!! This is one silly day I can certainly enjoy.
For those of you who may not know, pie day is March 14.
That's because it is 3/14, kind of like 3.14 or pie.

Yep, definitely a good day to celebrate!

Once again, we had leprechauns at the house.  This year they must have been in a better mood from years past.  There were no pranks, but just left lots of green treats.  I think I might invite them back next year.

Life has a way of flying by!

I've been meaning to post these pictures for awhile now.
I will blame Aaron since the pictures were on his camera so it makes it harder for me to access them.
Anyway, Enoch had a soccer tournament back over President's Day weekend.
His team did great and made it to the sem-finals.
This is where they played their games.

After the games were over each day, the boys spent time hiking in the local canyons.

Some pioneers -and other people- wrote their names on the rocks in some places.  One of them almost looks like our Samuel's name...just a few letter off.

It turned out to be a great weekend!

A Moment to Remember

With three kids in band and only two band teachers for their three respective schools,
I looked forward to the first combined band concert simply for taking these historic pictures.
Three of my four kids playing in the same concert.

Here is your first glimpse of history.

Well, Whit's End History that is.

I am so proud of all three of these kids.
