Christmas Eve, Whitaker Style

It's always nice to have our Christmas Eve at home.  All the kids were here and we did all the traditional things we've done since they were kids.
Our annual Christmas Bingo game was enjoyed by all.

I made everyone pose with their winnings. It may or may not have been a good idea...

We had an ambitious family project of creating a manger scene out of gingerbread. It was good to have an engineer in the house to help.

Even though the kids are older, I made them all pose as they hung their Christmas stockings.

Where's Kiera's picture with her stocking?  Your guess is as good as mine!  Somehow she escaped the lens!

Lastly, the best things in my life.

Lights at the Bay

We had a fun Christmas break with all the kids home. One night when Shenna was home from work we picked up Aaron's sister and went to see the Christmas lights at the Bay.

Afterwards, we stopped by the Gristmill for a brownie.
We're so glad that Suzanne puts up with us!

License to a Little Freedom

Samuel finally (according to him) got his actual driver's license.  Now he can drive himself to early morning jazz band instead of having to drive with his mom with him.
He may not look excited, but he is!

He was also excited to be able to have his own wheels to drive each day. Dad made sure he had a small mechanics lesson since he'll be in charge of taking care of "his" car.
